Welcome To The Cecil
The historic Hotel Cecil, sits gracefully in the wide streets of Wondai, a warm & welcoming town in the South Burnett Region, some 240 km north west of Brisbane.
Built in 1911, she comes under new ownership in 2026; purchased with the hopes of returning this incredible historic hotel to a lively business once more.

The Wondai Heritage Museum offers visitors an opportunity to explore the history of the Wondai town and district spanning 120 years.

Since its opening in November 2001, the Museum has stood as a tribute to the rich legacy of the South Burnett's timber industry, a cornerstone of the region's early settlement and ongoing development.
Wondai Regional Art Gallery
The Wondai Regional Art Gallery is located in Wondai, Queensland, at 12 Haly Street. Nestled in the heart of the town, it serves as a cultural hub showcasing local and regional art.
McEuen State Forest
McEuen State Forest is located just outside of Wondai and a short ride from the South Burnett Rail Trail. The beautiful eucalypt forest is home to nine different mountain biking trails perfect for beginner to intermediate riders to test themselves on.
Visit Coronation Park
Situated in the centre of Wondai Central Business District, the Park is well utilised by both residents and visitors.
There are gardens, covered picnic tables, benches, and a covered pavilion area.
